I don't know if this will help, but maybe it will. I have not had this problem with scrollbars. But I have had the ReadOnly property of a combobox changed to .F. when the Style property was changed to 2 - DropDown List. I wonder if your ScrollBars property is being reset when you change another property, such as RecordSource.
