I look at it as company "press releases" in the newspapers. It is news? Sorta, but not usually general interest news. Does the average person really care that Company X hired a new secretary? All it does is keep the company name in front of the public's eyes. Yet newspapers continue to print it. This is pretty much the same thing to me.
