>In Win2000 aprinters() does not return the name of network printers, but the printer port. This is prefixed with '\\'. If I populate a list box with the array created by aprinters these printers appear in the list but are disabled (as well as dropping one of the '\'s.)

>Can anyone tell me how to make the printers appear correctly and enabled? By the way is there any sane reason that '\' is used to disable an item in a list box rather than '\<' as everywhere else in VFP?
Even the WSH will only report the connection name. The reason that the \ character is used to disable goes back to at least FPD 2.0 and possibly 1.0. The \< combination does not disable, but makes the item sensitive to the keypress of the character that follows.
