I can see that. Considering the difference in budgets ( even accounting for the time difference ) I would expect them to do a better technical job. And most of the ones I've seen I liked pretty well. There's just something about the aura of the original that will always stick with me. Plus, I was the rights age at the time for it to "grab" me. :-)
