Doug - Thank you for your response - and no - you are not butting in - I can use all the help I can get.

Your idea is meaningful too from a client point of view, but being new to Crystal Reports and given the way the reports are (as indicated in my original thread), how do I get started on your recommendation.

Appreciate your thoughtfulness.

>PMFJI, but I have a differing opinion which you may want to consider. The approach that Randy has provided you is no doubt a quick way for you to get Crystal Reports out, however, it does no provide extensibility to your client. When possible, I try to perform all the functionality necessary to complete the report in Crystal. This way, if the client is proficient enough, the client can piggy-back off of the report(s) that you provide and enhance as they desire.

>>Thank you for your guidance Randy. I just got Crystal Report today.

>>To recap your thought, I should:
>>1. Gather the required data thru the exisitng SQL statements
>>2. Hold the results into a temporary table, that can be released when the report is exited.
>>3. Design a report using Crystal Reports to present the information to the user.

>>Am I consistent with what you are telling me? Thanks again.
