Is there a problem installing VB.Net (actually VS.Net) in a computer that already has VB6/VS6?

After installing VS.Net and running some sample projects with VB.Net, my VB6 doesn't want to work anymore. When I try to run a program I've been working on from the IDE it says "Compile error: Out of memory" which can't be (FYI, I didn't try to open my "real" projects in VB.Net). I tried running it with nothing else running and my computer has almost 400MB of RAM.

I've tried reinstalling VS but it still doesn't want to work. Anybody have any ideas? TIA.
