What woul happend if you change HelpContextID mamualy in the browse instead of progamaticaly? Can you post code you are using to update properties memo field?

That's the way memo fields work in foxpro. If foxpro cannot fit modified memo field in the existing block(s) it writes it at the end of the .fpt(sct) file. The previously used memo blocks get lost until PACK is done on the table.
