Yes there are software solutions. ICVerify, PCCharge, and a system from Medasyst Inc. all have PC based CC systems. You would not even have to have a swiper, but it would cost less per transactions and it is more accurate. A swiper doesnt cost much and if you wrote your POS software you wouldn't even need a cash register.
