Thanks. I had tried text, but probably not with the parens. And that is working. (The unknown causes a compile error in C# as I mentioned before.)

Would you tell me where you found this in the help? My searching didn't find it but I looked through about 50 topics in both help files so probably just missed a link.

Mike - If you're listening...any chance we're working on changes so the ado provider is standard? Got folks interested in using FoxPro data engine but aren't going to be crazy about it being an exception from the norm. Thanks.
