We have an old system running FoxPro 2.5 For DOS. There is a need to exchange
data with a MS SQL server (remote) real time. A program need to be developed to access both databases. I am thinking about using VB plus ADODB object in MDAC 2.5 to do the job. The FoxPro 2.5 database files are on a NT 4.0 server.

I did the following test on a test manchine.
1. Install FoxPro 2.5 on a NT 4.0 machine.
2. Create ODBC data source on the same machine to the FoxPro database.
3. Create a small Visual Basic Code using ADODB object and successfully access the table.

My question is what will happen if other user are using the old DOS application
accessing the same table files at the same time? Can I lock the table by using ADODB?

Many thanks in advance,

Dayang
