As a BUTM, you don't have access to some search functions. You can, however, click on "Show Auto-Links". Thus, if a member writes about "Thread # so-and-so", or "Message # so-and-so", you get a link to the thread or message, even if you don't have PUTM-privileges.
Also, you can search in FAQ, API, and downloads section; it is in the messages area that you can't search.
