A colonly of humans leaves earth for Alpha Centuri, traveling in a huge cylinder of a craft that contains a sustainable biosphere, etc... They arrived 400 years later and discover that a colony of terrans has been there for 300 years, having left 100 years after the first colony, but using newly discovered warp drive. Commercialization with earth had been going on for over 100 years. Lots of culture and knowlege conflicts, even amoung the same races-cultures. Interesting read. I just can't remember its title.

It took me 4 seconds longer to type my message - I'm sure we're thinking about the same story. I can't recall where it was - I think in some collection of various authors I have. I'm in the process of some basement reorganization which will end up with all my books and magazines on proper shelves, so I'm bound to come across it in the next month or so.
