Thanks for your last reply. I am now actually in the middle of the project and my problem is that I can see the Japaese characters in MS Access (the format that they were originally stored) and if I export from Access to Excel 2000, I can see them there as well.

When I import, or remote view to Foxpro, I only see '????' where the Japanese characters should appear.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am on-site in Vancouver at the moment and I only have limited time to get this working.
