You can't always avoid it. Changes in the database structure often have to be done at midnight, when nobody uses the system. Even worse, these changes can invalidate older versions of the EXE. So, my claim that users can go back to a previous version doesn't always apply.
Anyway, I usually keep the last 30 versions of the EXE on the server. The program I sent you automatically loads the latest version. I have another program to load previous versions: A grid on a form, populated with version number and date (use adir()).
Or just give the users a shortcut to the folder where your EXE files are.
