I have a demo wrapper class for the OPOS ActiveX control for Epson receipt printers. You can find this class in the UT Downloads. Epson also sells cashdrawers that connect directly to their receipt printers. This class has demo code for opening the drawer as well.
Unless you can afford to or have access to multiple receipt printers, decide on a single receipt printer model and develop for that. While many printers follow OPOS standards and provide basically the same ActiveX control, different models have different styles of print and paper widths. One of my customers thought they knew best and connected a different model printer to their system. Because the paper width was narrower, they could see no prices on the right. Even though they admitted they ignored our advice and standards, they just could not understand why I would not support their bad decision.
