The Input mask should be #,###.##. The 1000 and decimal separators displayed depend on settings in Windows Regional Options Control Panel. In Development it can be overriten in Tools -> Options -> Regional.
You can also use
SET POINT TO < PointChar >
SET SEPARATOR TO < SeparatorChar >
SET POINT controls the decimal point. SET SEPARATOR controls the character that goes between groups of digits. All that is affected by SET SYSFORMATS. See help for details.
