Thanks guys...all the comments are helpful. I think I'll give their land lines another call and see if I can get a live sales person....sounds like it might be worth getting the VFP version - if I have to go through testing and a bit of code tweaking, might as well do it on something new.
Oh, another question that I was going to ask their staff - does the new verson still rely on the FFConfig.prg file to do customization of variables and/or to insert custom code at certain "phases"? I know that I have some code that fires during certain phases that at one point let me switch between languages on the fly? I think I also had a bit of code inserted to fix bugs which may no longer be needed. As well, they used a FFStart.prg file to fire things up which also might be changed.
