I got hit with the Code Red worm through MS Index Server. I reinstalled the OS on another drive and applied the patch. It seems that the patch disables idq.dll (which stops vulnerability), but you lose index and search capability.

I can't find anywhere what to do to make Index Server useful again.

What am I missing?
