Not to be facetious, but buy an external monitor and lose travel capability is the cheap option.

It's not a repair, so far as I konw, they have to replace it and they're expensive, as Craig pointed out.

Did they have a refurbished option? I.E. a used screen from a refurbished/returned dell?
