This is what I get for working late at a customer site, and not having my email available -- I was poking around and didn't mean to upset anyone, just wondered while asking about colors in BMP files -- look great at 16000 + , but quite poor at 256. I seem to remember that there really are not 256 usable colors, but more like 240 which really transport well between palettes, but then I got to thinking -- why don't I check on sending my picture too.

Sorry I caused you any grief, you run a great site, and I just wish I could sign on more frequently and respond where I have some inkling of an idea.
