>I have been using it since March to develop a project for grain inventory tracking. I am for the most part happy with the product and feel that it has helped in my development time. I wish that the documentation and technical support was better. I have three sites on line with this software and the consistancy in the interface has made for very easy startup as far as training the operators.

Ian --

After some delay, I wanted to get back to you and share what I have learned about Visual Extend support. I sent a fax to Arturo Devigus (I assume he is the owner of Devigus Engineering, the designer of Visual Extend). He outlined the for-pay support options, and he clarified something of which I was not really aware:

There is a fellow in the US, Andrew Kelly, who serves as an agent of Devigus for the purpose of monitoring (and hopefully responding to!) VE questions on CompuServe. I asked Devigus if I could get Andrew's e-mail address and just send him questions directly. They sent me his address, I have corresponded with him, and he certainly seems willing to listen to problems.

I did not ask him if he would be willing to monitor Universal Thread. Clearly, he is a resource you should feel free to contact.

I think that I am about to upgrade to the new version of the framework. I still plan to explore some of the other ones, but I have invested a great deal of time in learning VE, and I already have a couple of projects begun in it.

I will be interested to hear where you are coming out in your decision about whether to try a different framework.

Steve
