I took a look at the MySQL web page. Yes, the lack of some of those features could be a killer, but not in this case. In fact, for the application I had in mind (for internal use), the native VFP DBC would be MORE than sufficient. It's just that the web component of it will be hosted on the Cobalt box and someone mentioned to me that the InterBase comes already installed on it, so I figured it might be a chance to learn something a bit different. If I REALLY had the time, I'd build it to run on native tables, MS SQL, InterBase, AND MySQL... but that would mean I didn't have any paying clients to work for and that would be bad.
