One other point that I failed to mention was that I am using Visual FoxPro 7.0. I don't know if that makes a difference in the declaration, but I still can't get it to work. I have tried everything to use GetShortPathName() and I just can't make it work. I also tried the code shown in the Universal Thread library which was only slightly different then your code.
