Nice idea.

However, in general, there are no design-time events in VFP. This is pity, because Delphi have them. Delphi allows to customize even properties editor, so you can make you custom property is editable by different controls, drop-down lists with choises for numeric values etc. Yet VFP have this only for default properties and does not allow to change this, only class builder can help here.

>Mark these properties as protected. Although there is still the matter of distributing the VCX/PRG. I guess if you use some type of version control software or maybe even file system permissions you can prevent changes to certain files.
