I know what you mean, but no, no Apple users would live in a place like Macondo.
If you ever have a chance, I would highly recommend his books. I think he won the nobel prize for "100 years of solitude", but several others (like "love in times of cholera", "chronicle of a death foretold") are very good as well. He uses Macondo as city where the history takes place in most of his books, I believe.
