Hmm. I did try that but, it didn't make any difference.

I thought that security issues on the network might be part of the problem. The user doesn't have create rights to the directory containing the .DBC. If vfpxtab tried to place temporary files there rather than in the local "working directory" I would expect the process to fail. However, if this were the case, I'd expect it to fail when run with the full copy of VFP as well.

There are several cursors resulting from queries that are used in ths process. I've seen cases where they are handled differently under the runtime version. I'll try converting these to tables and see what happens. It's a pain to clean up after them but it's also no fun to have to debug this on site...
