It has been three or four years since I wrote a drill-down graphic display package for a datawarhouse application, but I'll give my 56 year old memory an exercise...
The generic MS Graph had the ability to display 9 types of graphs, the most complicated being the least squares type. You are (were) limited to about 8096 data points (about 89X89 or 20X20X20, if memory serves) which can be set via the pset properties. The x and y titles could be set via the ledgend.
mmm. better yet, I see if I can find printouts of the code and email them to you.
