I've had good luck with Pinnacle Software's Graphics Server. For $235, you get both an FLL and an ActiveX interface to their graphing engine. The package supports VFP, Delphi, VB, and VC++.

Although I've encoutered no major bugs, the package does have a couple of shortcomings. Most notably, you cannot ask the software to return the absolute X,Y pixel coordinates of a point (or points) of interest. This is annoying if you want to annotate those points with any special text or graphic.

But overall, I've been happy with its capabilties to quickly produce nice 2- and 3-D graphs and charts of several varieties.
