I find that it doesn't open the database until, or unless the database node is expanded, at which point it makes sense that it's open. I imagine the reason it doesn't close the DBC when you collapse it is sort of a caching analogy.

Maybe if you tell us why it's an issue (I've never been bothered by this particularly) then maybe we can offer some alternatives?
