Couldn't figure out how to get to, when it rebooted to DOS to do the image, let me map the network drive, and didn't pursue it far enough to decide whether I was suffering from brain farts, or what.
That scenario is not trivial. First, Drive Image can only image local disks so the program itself must run on the laptop. You'd have to modify the boot files on the Caldera DR-DOS boot disk to load real-mode NDIS drivers so you could talk to your desktop with appropriate NET LOGON, NET USE etc. commands. You'd then be able to write the image to a file on your desktop. From there you could copy to CD-R or whatever.
