Hi!

Sure, it is good idea to produce reports and graphs at the server side and then allow to view them by client using, for example, image. You can also transfer only required amount of data to client just to display the result of the data processing. The same for reports. Also there are several popular and new technologies that you can use on the more advanced level. For example, use WEB server and produce reports as HTML pages, so remote clients can view them in WEB browser. There is Crystal Reports server that allows very good reports viewing through the WEB etc. YMMV.
