About static/dynamic IP adresses :
you can use dns2go (
www.dns2go.com) to make the IP transparent. They (dns2go) give you a subdomain and your computer which is connected to the DSL line sends every x time a hartbeat to dns2go so they always can convert your subdomain to the correct IP address. Theoritically, this even works when your server is connected using a dialup line with dynamic ip adress.
