Hi!
Exactly as you typed! Document object in Word have property name that, accordingly to help file, contains filename of the document.
Why you need to use FindWindow? For what you require HWND of the Word window? Caption of the Word window changes across versions of MS Office, so this is not a reliable way. There is a nother way to track MS Word windows opened ffrom VFP by CREATEPBJECT(), with use of other API functions.
>how can i check the name of a currenly opend worddoc.
>i need the name for getting a hanlde of the window with findwindow.
>if the currently opened document is a offer document i want to send item data from a foxpro item selection form .

>i there something like 'oword.activedocument.name' ???

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs
It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
