No, you don't need VFP 6 runtime files to run VFP 7 exe and VFP 7 exe wouldn't run with VFP 6 runtime files. The version of runtime your exe'll use is stored inside it.

I will be updating the user via the vfp7 installshield install program. How will my exe now that it should use the vfp7 runtime and not the vfp6 runtime. I am asking this becuase Ken Levy stated that programs compiled in vfp7 will run under the vfp6 runtime (as long as you don't use vfp7 specefic commands.) Also: should I uninstall the vfp6 runtime libs just for a good measure. If so how do you uninstall vfp6 runtime libs?
