I will be updating the user via the vfp7 installshield install program. How will my exe now that it should use the vfp7 runtime and not the vfp6 runtime. I am asking this becuase Ken Levy stated that programs compiled in vfp7 will run under the vfp6 runtime (as long as you don't use vfp7 specefic commands.) Also: should I uninstall the vfp6 runtime libs just for a good measure. If so how do you uninstall vfp6 runtime libs?

My understanding is that projects developed in VFP7 could be compiled in VFP6, as long as you don't use the VFP7 specific stuff. I could be wrong. Do you have a link to Ken's message?
