If I had to venture a guess, I would bet there's something embedded in one of the DBC triggered events unless it's available with free tables as well, which I doubt. What do you mean by 'holes'. Do you mean numbers being skipped because of transactions being rolled back? I would doubt there's any kind of tracking like that. Besides, who cares if KeyID's are perfectly sequential or not, as long as they are unique?
