Joe:
I can give a hands-up for Codemine. I have used it since V5 and I have been beta-testing V7 and have deployed the V7 beta in all of my production applications (its that good). It is extremely well designed, light-weight, lean and fast. It also allows you to stay close to the Fox when developing. The new version 7 has some brilliant SQL-Server support in there too.
The framework is easy to learn and does not have any legacy methodology to comply with or escape from (read Codebook <s>). Codemine support, whilst usually restricted to e-mail (overseas) is excellent. There is going to be an on-line Codemine support forum soon, as well.
If you have any other, more specific questions to ask about Codemine, feel free to ask me. Otherwise, I hope these comments are of help to you.
