Hi!

You can get from the SCX file with ActiveX control "OLEObject = " from value from the OLE2 field (SCX is a pute VFP DBF file just with another extension). Ther is a file name that you can use to find appropriate GUID in the registry. Class ID is stored also in the OLE field in the SCX, but I think it will be way too hart to extract it from there.

>I have a new OLE control it has a different GUID than the old one. I was hoping to write something to automate the switch-over, but I can't see where it stores the GUID. I'm looking at the form as a table and I don't see anything that looks helpful. Anyone know?

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
