>>>Hello : I had a program written in Foxpro for DOS running under windows 3.11 that reads the communication port using low level function (fopen, etc). I move the program to another machine running under windows 95 and now I can't read the port. Any suggestion ...?

>Thanks Tony for your answer, but I already wrote some programs in VisualFoxpro using the comunication control OCX and they work fine. I don't think that I can use it in Foxpro for D.O.S. which is my problem now because as I said the programs were writen in Foxpro for DOS and they work fine in DOS enviroment or in Windows 3.11. but when I use them under Windows 95 they don't work (nothing comes from the communication port). Thanks again

Simon,
Whoops.... Do I feel silly... Well, I would suggest then, another library like Commtools, to read data from the comm ports. Trying to use Foxpro's low level I/O to do this is a hit/miss process at best..

Thanx!
