I understand that Jihad (Jehad) is an extremist group. But it is also an Arabic (?) word meaning "holy war". Which is, of course, where the extremist group got its name from.
Of course, there is nothing holy about the religious fanaticism that (probably) prompted these terrorist attacks.
And I am sure that - although the chief suspects are muslim extremists of different countries - most muslim believers oppose these extreme acts.
