>>About religion – I feel that faith is more important than knowledge when discussing this subject. One can know the history, social aspects or theology of one or more religions but that does not make them a religious person. I am not impressed with those who can quote or regurgitate each comma and period from the Old or New Testament. Too many of these types of individuals are on Television soliciting funds for his/her own pocket and not the betterment of mankind.

>Excuse my ignorance, this will probably be a misquote, but sometimes I have an impression that when Jesus forced the merchants out of the church, they went only as far as the entrance, and stayed there ever since.
>
>>Having said that I enjoy discussing religion (and politics) from a variety of viewpoints, am a practicing Roman Catholic, and do everything I can to help others regardless of any religious affiliation.
>
>Being a sworn heathen, I admire religion as an achievement of human spirit, a vast intellectual building and a major cultural asset. Actually, most of the ten commandments are fair and aimed to making the civilization more civilized - but I have lots of objections to the first. It wouldn't pass any truth in advertising, anti-monopoly or fair competition law muster. Most of other objections I have are about most of the churches being after my money and wanting to tell me what to do.
>
>Er... better don't get me started on religion. While I respect anybody's right to believe whatever they believe, when it comes to discussing it in public... it's public then, and I sort of switch into "I'll stick with my opinion and tell you about it" mode.

Dragan;

Years ago I heard a joke about the Ten Commandments. As Moses began to introduce the Commandments written on stone tabloids, he said, “I present the Twenty” – just then there was a great crash and two of the tabloids containing Ten Commandments were reduced to dust – “I mean the Ten Commandments!”

Mankind will never know what the missing ten Commandments were.
