>I am having trouble printing a report using the whole printable page. In my 2.6 app, (that I've converted to VFP5) my report used the complete page (8.5" x 14") as the printable area. This same report in VFP seems to place it's own margins on the form which forces the footer of the report to print on the next page. Has anybody else had this problem? Is there any 'work around'? I've tried several different HP printers (III, IV, V, VI) as well as experimented with the different print drivers.

VFP can be pretty obnoxious about putting page breaks when it feels like it. Any workaround that works consistently probably involves putting your footer stuff in your detail band and giving the detail band a constant height. Then you will probably have to make the detail band controls fixed and non-stretch. That could work for a page footer if you have one record or group per page. I guess I am not sure which footer you mean. If the footer stuff cannot be conveniently placed in the detail band, you may end up making a cursor that puts your records in order, including footer records, and run the report off that.
