At this point I doubt many people here particularly care about offending the sensibilities of those who have some overblown sense of their own moral rectitude. Go tell that to hundreds of thousands of people here either directly or indirectly impacted by this. Just as soon as we finish scraping the remains of our dead off the street we'll pause and think about the feelings of others and perhaps we'll make note of their hand wringing. Today we pulled a fireman out who had been buried for a day or so. After a shot of intraveinous fluids and a peanut butter sandwich he put on his coat and went back to work.

We're a pretty confident bunch over here. We didn't get to where we are in the world by misunderstanding where we are in the world and where we want to go. Right now we're mad as hell and just as soon as we've calmed down a bit and we determine who we're going to go take out we'll do everything in our power to avoid any unnecessary "collateral damage". But make no mistake about this whatsoever... We are going to resolve this issue if I can read the mood over here. The Speaker of our House of Representatives today stated it well when asked about our plans for Ossama bib laden. He replied, "He should be saying his prayers right now", and I'd think that says it well.

The alternatives of anarchy or paralysis are IMO far worse.

Right now we're praying and seeking God's guidance. It is my prayer that He will speak clearly and that we will listen and that we will follow his direction. Our real strength comes from Him, not our wealth or any other material blessing. Right adn wrong are not derived from the end of a gun barrel and this nation was founded upon that notion and I doubt that our leaders have forgotten that fact.

God willing we will do what is proper and right and if that means taking out a few rabid dogs so be it. It's a part of life and we all need to deal with it.
