The reason is that I work For The National Centre For Cosmetic Surgery in Birmingham and what I want to do is to connect to more of our branches/servers together so that we can automaticaly transfer information over from one branch to another but the problem I'm having that once the information has been transferred I want the program to disconnect the RAS connection automatically.

>>Thanks for the solution, It worked like a dream. The problem I am having now is that after connecting and disconnecting a couple of time Windows Nt starts giving you error stating that the com1 port is still open. You mentioned in your previous message some thing about a 'sleep' command that is used to reset the com port. Please could you tell me what parameters I have to type up to get this feature to work.

If you are really interested about VFP and RAS you sould get a
book called 'Visual FoxPro5 Enterprise Development' by Rod Paddock, Ron Talmage, John Petersen. They have a RAS VCX for dial-up on the CD-Rom and
give examples in the book. It has help us alot with our code and
RAS.
