Thanks Michael for that info. This sheds some info on the problem. I have been using query analyzer to check the permissions. I ran the query and for the database user came up as 'dbo'. This is interesting considering that the login id is not mapped to the dbo user. This happens in any of the databases I log into. Any ideas?

Again, I'm running SQL2000 on W2K Server. Security is mixed mode.
