>>Not sure what point you're making... If the terrorists have managed to get lethal gas on board then any security measures in the cabin are likely moot. I'm really not sure of the combination of procedures that would be best, but gas seems like a possibility. As well as inaccessability to the cockpit, and guns carried by some staff, agents on the planes, extensive pre-baording measures, etc...

>My point is that terrorists act in a manner which seems illogical to those that “live to live”, rather “live to die”. Using a non-lethal gas is not something a terrorist would be interested in. Killing everyone including himself or herself is the way they react to a given situation. The terrorist approach requires no concern for anyone’s live.

Tom,

Ohhhh... Now I got it! I didn't read, "If a terrorist airplane was being hijacked" correctly. I thought you were still talking about one of our planes being taken over. Yes, I agree. They have no regard for life. Before Tuesday I would have said that there are all different shades of grey regarding terrorism, but now I'm more of the mind to simply take care of business. I had some personal losses (not family, thank God) this week and I have reassessed my views. I was for Clinton/Gore in the last election, but I'm glad that didn't work out. I think the current administration is the one I want in place at this time. My girlfriend gave the opinion that perhaps the election worked-out the way it did for a reason. I'm not entirely sure if I'm on board all the way with that, but I am glad it worked-out the way it did.
