Dont think it is that easy. Afganistan is a war ruined country. Even if 100 missles hit the damage will not be visible or compel them to surrender. They are very determined about what they say (the desturction of budhha statue). The only option is ground troops attack. But then the terrain is very harsh and unknown. Taliban consists of pakhtoons , and there are 20 million pakhtoons in pakistan(same no. as afghanistan), lot of them in the army. Air attack will require Pakistani, Russia or India (last option but sure as they are ready) bases and support.

If all muslim countries if come togather are difficult to handle. China seens to be very slow in giving any response (they think they should given the superpower status).
