>>What happened Tuesday is a result of "long, hard negotiations" and appeasments.
>
>What negotiations and appeasments are you referring to?

Where to you want to start, with the Great Dispora? The re-establishment of the State of Israel by the UN in 1948, which was immediately followed by an Arab attack? The 1967 Six Day war? The rise of the various Islamic terrorist groups? The incessent suicide bombings by Islamic extremists? Each was accompanies by "negotations and concessions (appeasements)" which was later revealed to be merely a breather for the terrorists. Arafat negotiating with Israel one day, talking about living in peaceful co-existance with them, only to be caught on microphone in South Africa a week later explaining that the only goal for his organization was the destruction of Israel.

What do you want to bet that the results of Tuesday's bombing of the WTC and the loss of 5,000 lives will result in token response or lots of 'negotiations', etc... What do you want to bet that the extremist Islamic states are doing their best to develop or buy nuclear and/or biological weapons of mass destruction in order to teach the "Great Satan a lesson." How many have to die at a crosswalk before you put up a stoplight? How many times can a rapist rape before you finally put him down?

How many times must an atrocity be repeated or how many people have to die before you will draw a line?

You can bet on one thing. If our response reduces itself to a token strike or lots of talk then the green light has been given for even worse tradgedies.
