Thanks, I think I'm seeing what's happening here, between your replies and others. This is one of those cases where newer isn't always better, which is why I originally just tried to get their old app to run on the new computer, which it did, except for this one report which inexplicably bombs out with a full record set but worked just fine when testing with 1/4 of the data. Of course, this is a 13 year old BASIC program, the programmer is long gone, and there is no source code or I'd just fix it myself.
