>We talked with several people in San Diego about how they planned to get home. We decided to drive and arrived home at 2:00pm on Sunday after leaving on Thursday morning. I was sitting here wondering about the rest of you. How are you doing? Are you home yet? How did you get there?

I actually managed to get on a plane Friday afternoon and arrived around 8:00 pm in Nashville. I wasn't that thrilled to be getting on a plane that early since the events Tuesday, but it was a smooth flight and I'm glad to be home.

Personally, I did expect more in the way of security at the San Diego airport. I flew SouthWest and I had heard that they weren't going to be allowing carry-on luggage, but just about everyone (except me) had a carry-on. It took about an hour longer than usual to check my luggage in, and there was a guard that would only allow you to the gate if you had a ticket. Other than that, it felt like business as usual. I walked through the metal detector, there was no beep, and I moved on. It's not that I'm dissatisfied, I just expected something a little more intrusive, like somebody waving a wand around me or something. Anyone else experience tighter security in San Diego?
